The Sweet Spot

The Sweet Spot

3.3 mi. Loop / Level: 1 / Singletrack

The Sweet Spot is a clockwise loop of the Ouita Coal Company trail's outer perimeter. The Sweet Spot links the entire system together into a single "greatest hits" ride that ensures you get all the best parts of the trail in a bite size package.

Ouita Coal Company

Ouita Coal Company

9 mi. Loop / Level: 3 / Singletrack

Just off of Exit 78 on I-40, the Ouita Coal Company Trailhead is on the north end of the Illinois Bayou Park. Popular with boaters and fishermen, the park includes a paved walking trail, and some of the most fun mountain bike trails you can find right off of a major interstate.

Green Trail

Green Trail

1.2 mi. Point-to-Point / Level: 3 / Singletrack

Fresh off of climbing up the tailings from Orange Trail, most riders like to stop and enjoy the view of Lake Dardanelle. The Green Trail starts at this perfect rest stop and then drops the riders into one of the best features of the entire ride. Known to many as "the Dragon's Back" - riders mount a long, narrow strand of singletrack that can leave some beginner riders a little spooked.

Old Post

Old Post

5.8 mi. Loop / Level: 3 / Singletrack

The trail was built on a very small tract of land so it can be tight and twisty in places. You can also find a few little spots out here to get some air. There are a few nice places to get in some scenic views; one of which is at the top of Power Line hill. Once at the top of the hill, look to your left and you'll see a small trail heading toward the Arkansas River. If you take this trail it will bring you to some bluffs that overlook the Arkansas River.

Bench Trail

Bench Trail

3.6 mi. Point-to-Point / Level: 1 / Singletrack

The trail can be ridden clockwise or counter-clockwise. It has two trail heads separated by a few hundred feet of paved road. There are several hike-in or bike-in campsites on the east and west sides. These must be reserved on a first-come/first-served basis at the park office on top of the mountain.

Chickalah Loop Trail

Chickalah Loop Trail

6.3 Mile Loop / Singletrack / Intermediate-Difficult

This new mountain bike trail joins the new trails at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area as the latest Monument Trail to be introduced by Arkansas State Parks and the Arkansas Parks and Recreation Foundation. The trail is an intermediate trail with several expert features.
